When I build (compile) the model I've been working on, the process is really speedy the first time (~4-5 seconds) after
launching AnyLogic and then is relatively slow each time after (~50-65 seconds). When I shut down AnyLogic and then
restart it, the pattern repeats (fast build to slow build). This happens even when I have not changed anything in the
model.
Does anyone have any idea why this would be happening?
I am using AnyLogic Advanced build 6.2.1.
Thanks.

If you use antivirus software, try to turn it off and build model again.

I had used two histogram charts and slowness was a part of the simulation as well as yours. Then I closed "Update
automatically" of the charts. I just used Histogram >> Properties >> General >> Do not update
automatically for both charts.
Then speed of the simulation has developed significantly.

By the way, do not forget to check same thing -automatically update- in other components such as functions, datasets...
