Hi to all,
I am a new Anylogic (AL) user. I present myself:
I am used to develop agent based models in Economics writing the Java programs myself and I have decided to give myself
some help using a more friendly environment. After comparison of different platforms (including the free ones), I have
decided to buy Anylogic. I am an economics professor and I plan to use Anylogic in the university context.
Changing from a "programming by hand" context to a platform is not easy of course since, one must learn a
whole new logic. I have read the user manual of AL (yes, all chapters ;-) ). I find it useful but not easy since it is
quite abstract and it does not give many examples. I am also looking to the example models but they are not much
documented, so learning AL is not immediate (well, I was expecting this and I am ready to provide effort on my side :-)
for this beautiful software). I really hope that I can bother you from time to time to get some help in my tribulations
with AL :-)
In a more specific way, I am now following the tutorial for Agent based modeling and I am stuck at step 4 since my
embedded people object does not have a statistics property sheet (this is where I am now supposed to introduce the
adopters counter). Am I missing something here? Must I do something before in order to activate this sheet?
Thank you very much in advance for your help.
Very cordially,
Murat
PS. I am using AnyLogic 6.1.0, Edition: Advanced on a Windows XP FR, SP2 laptop.

Follow up:
I have solved my problem. The version of the tutorial which is downloadable from the website
(
http://www.xjtek.com/file/140) is not anymore adapted to the last version (it seems). The version which is included in
the help file is adapted and works. But I am surprised by th fact that a nice functionality (the Statistics tab) is not
anymore included in Anylogic (at least in the version I have bought). Do you now why?
Regards,
Murat.

to Murat:
This functionality will be available in the nearest AnyLogic 6 build.
