SIR Agent Based Simulation Model
An agent based model of contagious disease diffusion. Each person has three states: Susceptible to the disease, Infectious, and Recovered (SIR). People contact each other with a certain rate. If an infectious person contacts a susceptible one, the latter will be infected with a certain probability. The infectious people recover after some time and become immune to the disease. For visualization purposes the agents are put on a grid and contacts occur only between the immediate neighbors.
